I have designed a number of promotional banners for the University of Reading’s website home page. These are used to promote events, highlight research activities, draw attention to the University’s strengths and make important announcements.
For each promotional banner I have:
- Selected a suitable photograph from the University’s own stock image library.
- Cropped and edited the photograph in response to the fixed banner dimensions and the need to incorporate a space for text.
- Structured the promotional message to create a clear hierarchy of information.
- Created a layout that unifies the image, text and branding elements to maximise impact of the promotional message.
The three examples here demonstrate my ability to work with a variety of images (from clean to busy), and use of typography to accommodate both short and longer messages.
